Welcome to the Father Inclusion Audit from Fathers Plus

The Father Inclusion Audit grew out of the 'Think Fathers' campaign, launched by the former government in November 2008 in association with a range of partners, including the Fatherhood Institute. It was prompted by concerns that many local authority children's services need to do more to develop 'Family Inclusive Practice' which engages effectively with fathers and male carers.

The Father Inclusion Audit examines six key areas of operation, namely:
  • Leadership support
  • Workforce Development
  • Developing Integrated Services for Fathers
  • Developing Father Friendly Environments
  • Father Friendly Communications and Marketing
  • Recruiting Fathers Into Services
Fathers Plus specialist training and resources can help your organisation to audit requirements and target gaps in each of these areas.
